ABOUT

I’m Luca Panzarella, a fashion designer and creative born and raised in Los Angeles, now based in Brooklyn, NY. I’m the founder of GRLS Inc., a sustainable fashion collective I launched in 2017 with a mission to represent expression, inclusivity, and sustainability. What started with hand-painted thrifted t-shirts has grown into a full-fledged brand focused on upcycling, size inclusivity, and celebrating diverse identities.

From teaching myself to sew through YouTube to producing original collections, my work is rooted in DIY culture and community empowerment. In 2023, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design & Merchandising from San Francisco State University, where I developed technical skills in garment construction, pattern-making, and design. My first collection, "La Riots," honored the resilience of my hometown through original handmade pieces.

Beyond fashion, I run Cherrybomb Market, a vintage pop-up event series in San Francisco that supports small, sustainable, and BIPOC-owned brands. It’s a space for creatives to connect, shop, and celebrate independent style. I also serve as the social media manager for Hyde FM, a community-driven radio station where I help amplify underground music and local voices through digital storytelling and creative content.Whether I’m designing, curating events, or building online communities, my goal is always the same: to uplift underrepresented voices and create space for self-expression.
